I have completed my presentation and I'm now focusing on my music video. i have created my story board and I will start filming on Friday 14th March 2008.

In today's lesson I got the lyrics to Sean Kingston's song Beautiful Girls, as this is the song I want to use for my music video. I then typed the lyrics putting them into columns with the seconds of the song;

I then started writing down my ideas for the visuals to the lyrics. I then went on to work on my presentation, about the codes and conventions of a music video.

In today's lesson, we watched music videos from previous students at this college. i think this helped me to realise what mistakes can be made and how some of them can be corrected easily or prevented in the first place.

For today's lesson, I started using PowerPoint to make my presentation, i also continued to watch my two chosen videos.

In today's lesson I decided on which music videos I wanted to compare for my presentation, I decided on using Avril Lavigne 'Girlfriend' and 50 Cent 'Ayo Technology' I decided on these two videos because they are very different and show different aspects of a music video.

In this mornings lesson we watched two Simple Plan videos and compared them, the first was called "Addicted" and showed the band playing their instruments in a room, they are shown to be a rock band people who are a fan of this type of music will know if they like the band or not. In the second video "I'd Do Anything" shows the fans trying to get in to a concert to see the band and that they would do anything to see their favourite band. The band represent themselves by wearing there own brand of clothes so the fans will want to dress like them.

In today's lesson we had to watch a documentary by Chris Cunningham, about music videos. This documentary was quite interesting but i found the music videos shown in it very strange, and didn't really understand what they were about and the
relevance they had to the songs and the music.

Chris Cunningham's work is very unusual but very orriginal and i do think a lot of time and hard work has gone into the pieces of footage i have seen today. Even though they were very strange and rather miss leading.
